Just ignore the bullshit...
Assignments from photography class, required me to go around hunting for good pictures.
Assignments from photography class, required me to go around hunting for good pictures.
I had already posted my first assignment, texture.
Here comes the second and the third which is light and shadow, reflection.
Light and shadow.
I got this shot right after my photography class end.
Taken at Sunway Pyramid.
I was attracted by the casting light and shadow, I tried a few shots and suddenly a boy walked into my frame and just stood there for unknown reason.
(above) Thanks alot, little boy.
Taken at SBS Chinese Camp 2009.
The original shot wasn't like that. My lecturer looked at my picture and cropped it, he says, "This is much better."
(above) What man is this? Balloon-Man?
Next theme, reflection.
Taken at Dewan Philharmonik, KLCC.
I waited until someone suitable walked by.
(above) Luckily no security guard notice me and chase me away.
Taken at KLCC too, beside Convention Centre.
(above) Always go KLCC for photography assignments?
End story for wekly assignments.
Let's talk a little on Malacca field trip.
A day or two before the field trip, I went for sensor cleaning and most importantly I got a circular polarizer.
I wanted a CPL for a long time, but it is just too expansive.
Now, finally I got one, a 52mm HOYA.
(above) Yay! HOYA!!!
The field trip to Malaca is for photo shooting.
Once again, photography class activity.
Let's look at some pictures.
Couples doing wedding photography. I didn't compose this picture, it is non of my business...
Then I found out the outcome good, I regreted...
(above) Hey, can I join the shooting?
This picture is just for testing, wanted to shoot like a proffesional...
(above) Kind of old school shot.
Wind mill, a little bit of PS retouching... just to make it better...
(above) This is not from Holland.
For this picture, I like the color... I never got this kind of color before.
(above) Playing with WB huh?
I like the outcome and the feel of this pic.
It is just different from my prevoius shot...
(above) What were they doing there?
At the end of the day, my friend took my cam and looked at my pictures, they all asked, "why your color is so difference?" or something like that.
I had been thinking why. Maybe preset white balance, or maybe I am using CPL.
CPL cuts off unwanted reflections, revealing true color of a subject. Correct me if I am wrong.
Do note that most of my Malacca shot above are original shots, only one or two being touched for better contrast and composition.
