Conclusion, next time I should bring a small ladder for this kind of photoshooting.
Flash unit, VR, or telelens is recommended for nice pictures.

KLPF 2008 part 2- The Fujifilm Model

This is part 2 of my KLPF 2008 series.
No more camwhoring, but model shooting.
This model shooting is a contest held by Fujifilm, but I didn't participate bacause I know my standard.
I cannot get a good spot at the begining, peoples were blocking me. So I went up to the upper floor.

(above) This picture is dark, maybe my speedlight is still recharging... but I like the lighting of this picture.

(above) Tired of posing? Have a seat.

So I went down for the following shots.
Too many people... I tried my best...
The model came out holding Fujifilm's camera... started to promote Fujifilm.

(above) Overexposed. Too many flashes.

(above) Heads... blocking me...

(above) "Fuji's camera is nice, like us..."

(above) "Leng lui, look here!!!"

(above) "You want me or the camera?"

(above) I think I edit a lot on this picture, the original shot wasn't like that.

(above) "Buy Fuji ya!"

(above) I found out that I got quite a number of this model's picture.

(above) Second round, I managed to get this close up shot... hehe...

(above) So crowded... everyone being mad for models.

End of part 2.
I still got part 3, which is the Tamron model shoot out.
Amber Chia will appear in my next post, hopefully...

KLPF 2008 part 1

KLPF- Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival.
I went there on 19th October 2008 with Jun, JiJian, SoonChiat.
So, photo fest mean photo shooting? Yes, model shooting.
Before I post the model shots, lest me post some pictures taken using Nikon D3 and Canon EOS 1Ds MarkIII... and Nikon D100.
I did not touch up the pictures in this post, just resize.

(above) JiJian an Jun with Nikon D3 and I-don't-know-what lens.

My extra CF was inserted into D3.
Feel the power of D3...

(above) My picture shot with Nikon D3. PHOTOGRAPHER: Jun or JiJian.

(above)  Jun and I. Shot with Nikon D3. PHOTOGRAPHER: JiJian.

After Nikon, then Canon booth.
Of course, you can't miss out Canon EOS 1Ds MarkIII, it cost a car.
Like D3, my another CF was used.
This MarkIII picture size is very large, about 10MB each.
So I resized it and post them here.

(above) JiJian and Jun shot them self using Canon EOS 1Ds MarkIII.

(above) Group photo!

(above) Another group photo.

(above) Distortion.

(above) Another another group photo.

(above) We try to stay as close to the lens, JiJian and I seems distorted and blurred out.

(above) JiJian's self portrait. His head looks small in this picture.

These is just one part of my KLPF photos. Next post will be the model shots from KLPF.
I am still processing the pictures.
A lot of dissapointed shots, like blur, underexposed, overexposed... Hope PS can recover my pictures.
Anyway, lets have a look on my Amber Chia shot.

(above) Brian is down, repeat, Brian is down. Mission accomplished, returning to base.

Haha, just for fun.
I finished COD4, erm, last week. Of course I took about 200+ screenshot...
Then I took 200+ pictures at Brian's birthday party.
I am thinking if I combine both COD4 screenshot and my shot, will it be interesting?
So I work on it.
How is it?

P.S: Brian, no offence!!! Haha!

Pictures To Share 1 and Introducing Sa DingDing(薩頂頂)

千里牵你

Inspired by the Chinese Society Camp 2008 of SBS, I mean the four human like thingy(refer to my previous post entitled SBS Chinese Society Camp 2008), I created something using Adobe Illustrator.
Very simple artwork. Probably my lecture will saysomething like this after he/she looked at my work"What is this? You call this a professional work?"
Nevermind, this is just a practice. I will improve and produce something better than this.
Forgot to tell you the name of this work...千里牵你...credit to the one who think the title for the CS Camp.

(above) 3:2 version of my artwork, also my blog's present header.

(above) A4 size version. Maybe this is a poster, poster for SBS CS Camp 2008. This was a joke...haha...

P.S. Leave a comment and tell me where to improve, would you kindly?
